Moon Rocks and HooDoo Rocks are infamous trails in Davis or try the beginner-friendly Promised Land Trail at Canaan Valley State Park. You’ll find the ride of your life here.

  • Technical, rocky, flowing meadows

Trail Status:

  • Trails are open year round with the exception of Wildlife Management Areas. WMA trails are closed November through April.

Trail Highlights

  • Moon Rocks & Hoodoo Rocks Loop – 3.8 miles through cratered sandstone formations
  • Trials Road – beginner-friendly connector trail with short, technically difficult sections
  • Camp 70 Road – river access for kayaks and fishing
